Bear Fursuit -4-

Here is my first real fursuit. Okay, the giant, blue duck was one, too. But this bear costume, I've sewed for the theater production „A Midsummer Night's Dream“, is more realistic.

It tooks 3 Weeks (about 8h per day). During this time, I've done nothing but the costume. The basic of the body is an overalls, padded with two old „fat suits“ and a lot of wadding.
Finally I sewed the fur over all and painted a little bit, because of the fur was a very simple and it looked too clean.

The head's basic was a helmet. This I padded first with „sleeping pad“ and than with wadding. The teeth and the tounge are from flour mixed with silicone. The eyes are glass-teddy-eyes, improved with aluminum foil, leather and modelling clay for the eyeballs.

The actor (Michael Meyer) can see through the mouth of the bear and move it with his chin.
